High School Musical....Soarin...Flyin...There's not a star....

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL was Disney's break-out smash hit last year...and now it has been brought to the stage in spectacular fashion by Wellington Musical Theatre.I had the privilage of seeing the first show on Friday 18th May 2007 and loved every single moment of it.

This is a feel good, fun-for-all musical in the best traditions of Grease. It will remind anyone who ever took part in a school musical what an absolute thrill it was, and make anyone who never took part wish that they had! High School Musical tells the story of an unlikely couple - Troy, the popular captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella, the brainy and beautiful member of the academic club, break all the rules of East High School society when they secretly audition for the leads in the school's musical. As they reach for the starts and follow their dreams, everyone learns about acceptance, teamwork and being yourself. And it's all set to the songs that have become major hits all over the world including Start of Something New, Get Cha Head in the Game and We're All In This Together.

This is the best show I have been to since Disney's Beauty and the Beast last January at the St James.I would definately recommend seeing this show if you are a fan of the movie.You'll definately be singing along like I was.
