A Tribute to a great Mother and an awesome Nana.

Waimoana Crawford - August 11, 1940 - January 14, 2007 Sunday 14 January has been a very very sad and emotional day for me and my family. An inspirational and amazing Nana to my brother Chris and his fiance Grace, my sister Sharon and myself, an awesome Mum to my Mum Pitaleen and my Uncle William, and a great Great-Nana to her first Great-Grandson Atrail. Known as Moana to all her friends, Nana was a true inspiration to all who had the privilage of knowing her especially me.She helped my Mum and I with our singing for the various Country Music Awards and shows we had entered, and was always there to supporting us and giving us positive criticism.Nana also helped me out with the bond for my first apartment in Auckland.I will always remember having her at my 21st birthday saying how proud she was to have me as her Grandson. I also remember going out to resthomes with her and singing to all the old people.There were serious moments, but also lots of laughs. Nana, we will all miss you more than you know.Even though we didnt always see each other, you were always a major part of my life and always will be. You gave me advice that has helped in some way to making the person I am. Thank you for everything you did for all of us. We love you. xxxx Your Oldest Grandson, Douglas
